PodCasting using GarageBand

Podcasting is the method of distributing multimedia files, such as audio programs or music videos, over the Internet for playback on mobile devices and personal computers. The distribution format of a podcast uses either the RSS or Atom syndication formats.

The term podcast, like "radio", can mean both the content and the method of delivery. The host or author of a podcast is often referred to as a "podcaster".

This the first project you will be doing in class. It will be an introductory podcast about yourself and your life. When finished, it will be about three minutes long. We will share them with the class when we are all finished.

Step one will be to type up your podcast. It will consist of three paragraphs.

1. Paragraph One: Introduction of you. (Hobbies, sports, interersts....)
2. Paragraph Two: What did you do this summer? (How do you spend your family time? What do you do as a family? Traditions, Vacations
3. Paragraph Three: Something about you that others don't know and that you are willing to share.

The next step will be to record your audio into GarageBand. This will take a couple of days in class to finish.

Last step will be to collect pictures from home that support your writing. They can be brought to school on a flash drive, CD, emailed to yourself, on a SD card or hard copy if that is all you have.
